Any amount of ride height change will cause the camber of your tires to change. This means that instead of the tires being perfectly perpendicular to the ground, they will be slight slanted and cause premature wear to your tires. These are necessary to properly align the vehicle and are highly recommended optional equipment. They may be required to achieve proper alignment after a suspension lift kit has been installed. Some Fords don't have alignment cams in them.
