Crawling over a tough trail is all about control and maximum traction. To get this you must keep as much of the rubber on the trail as possible. This is why we have a never-ending pursuit of 'droop-drop'. What this means is the better articulation you have the better will be the ability for your rig to keep it's tires planted firmly on the ground. So, how do you get droop? Perhaps the most dramatic single modification you can install is a set of revolver shackles. These babies will give you up to 10 inches of additional spring droop! In fact, to get the maximum benefit out of the Revolver Shackles you may have to install longer shocks because the ones you currently run will max out before the shackles do.

Due to the self-supporting design, these shackles allow the leaf spring to start compression much easier. This results in a softer action and more comfortable ride. Because the revolver allows the spring eye to stay in a resting position while the shackle head rotates your spring will experience less fatigue and longer life. Clearly, the advantages the Revolver Shackles bring make them well worth the price.
