The Old Man Emu 1204K / 1205K 2-inch suspension lift system for the 2005 to 2023 Toyota Tacoma is a premium upgrade to enhance ride quality, control, load-carrying capacity, and ride height. When building an off-road vehicle, considering the added weight of heavy components, which can cause suspension sag over time, is essential. Old Man Emu suspension kits are engineered to prevent this, ensuring a smooth, comfortable ride by balancing components to handle various weight loads.

This kit features Old Man Emu BP-51 bypass coilovers and shocks, utilizing the latest off-road technology. These user-adjustable internal bypass shocks offer ten compression and rebound adjustment levels, delivering exceptional comfort and control on and off the road. The BP51 shocks and coilovers use a large 51 mm, 6061 grade aluminum body that dissipates heat 15 times faster than steel body shocks.

In the rear, Old Man Emu Darkar leaf springs provide 2 inches of lift. These premium springs are engineered to provide optimum ride performance irrespective of the operating conditions the vehicle's suspension is required to work under. Feature-packed, Emu Dakar leaf springs will deliver vastly improved ride, handling, and load-carrying capability. You can have a standard load rating or a 660 lbs constant load rating (see options).

Dakar Rear Leaf Spring Features

• Load: Designed for vehicles with no constant or 660 lbs constant load.
• Draw tapered and diamond-cut leaves: Ensure the load is progressively distributed over a larger surface area, reducing the high stresses that develop at leaf ends. This increases ride quality and protection against leaf breakage, significantly increasing the spring life.
• Bolt clamps and liners: The leaf clamps are bolted to allow the installation of anti-squeak nylon liners.
• Fully scragged and load tested: Scragging ensures the spring takes a permanent 'set', reducing the risk of sagging. Load testing ensures the spring meets the required specifications.
• Military wrap: Designed to provide added safety.
• Anti-friction pads: Grazeable nylon interleaf liners reduce friction at the leaf tips, where the load is the greatest.
• Flat axle seat area: Allows a positive, safe axle mount, reducing spring stress and increasing spring life.
• Shot peening: The tension side of all leaves is shot peened to reduce spring stress. This process can double a spring's life.
• Two-stage leaf pack: This feature is featured on most rear springs for optimum comfort. When unladen, the vehicle is largely riding on the primary stage, with the secondary stage providing additional support when a heavy load is added.
