Icon Vehicle Dynamics leaf springs are built to the highest standards. All leaf spring products are made to improve ride quality and performance. Icon offers full replacement leaf springs, RXT multi-rate springs, and expansion packs.
Types of Icon Leaf Springs
At Jack-it we offer a variety of leaf springs manufactured by Icon. Below is a breakdown of each type to help find the best solution for you.
Progressive Rate Leaf Springs:
These are complete leaf springs available for both the front and rear of select vehicles and are designed to add height to your vehicle. They feature a progressive spring rate that uses a thin 12 leaf construction to ensure a smooth ride and less spring fatigue.
RXT Mult-Rate Leaf Springs:
The RXT line of rear leaf springs allows the truck owner to decide how much rear the springs will provide. Included is a pair of add-a-leafs that can be discarded or inserted into the leaf springs. These springs offer enhanced ride quality over factory leaf springs.
Expansion Packs
Expansion Pack Kits: The Icon Vehicle Dynamics line of expansion packs is an innovative hybrid of a leaf spring and add-a-leaf. Each pack features multiple leaves that are progressively smaller in length. The packs are engineered to be added to your stock leaf springs to provide lift height while improving ride quality. This is an excellent alternative to traditional add-a-leafs and rear lift blocks.
The Icon expansion packs are a very popular option on Tacoma and Tundra models. Both models are known for having weak rear leaf springs. Because of the weakness, lifting the rear of these trucks with lift blocks can cause axle wrap (when the axle rotates slightly beneath the leaf springs at acceleration), resulting in a loss of traction, vibration and noise. Add-a-leafs are a common method to raise the rear but can add harshness to the ride quality. Icon expansion packs will lift the rear without adding harshness (in most cases, the ride is improved) and do not create axle wrap.
