Product Description
This custom conversion kit put together by Jack-it is designed to convert the Y-Style steering that came factory equipped on 1976 & 1977 Ford F150 models to T-Style steering (equipped on 1978 & 1979 models). Included is a new tie rod assembly, an adjustable drag link and a drop pitman arm. T-style steering is generally considered superior to the older Y-style steering, improving handling and tracking. Converting to T-Style steering allows the use of a drop pitman arm, which is essential on lifted models. Replacing old, worn components with new ones will improve handling. For customers wanting to convert to T-Style steering on stock height models you can purchase SKUs jac_1002 (tie rod) and skj_fdl70 (adjustable drag link) from Jack-it. The stock height pitman arm D8TZ-3590-B or D8TA-3590-BA will need to be located elsewhere. |
