F250 / F350 2005-2024 Ford 4WD 2 Degree Shim (3" Wide) by Carli Suspension

Carli Suspension CS-FPSKIT-3X2, a high quality Pinion and Shim Kit is designed to fix driveline vibration found in the 05-23 Ford F250 / F350's. The recommended pinion angle for standard applications falls within the 1°-3° range, a guideline we have adhered to consistently. However, Carli encountered several instances where customers reported driveline vibrations occurring at approximately 70mph when power was applied to the rear driveline. Surprisingly, all of these customers provided measurements within the specified 1°-3° range.

To address this issue, Carli decided to take a closer look by bringing one of the affected vehicles into our shop. After careful examination, they decided to install 2° pinion shims, and this modification effectively resolved the problem. Interestingly, Carli observed that the end pinion measurements on the two tested vehicles were 4° and 5°, yet they exhibited smooth performance under power at all speeds. This led them to reevaluate their accepted pinion angle specification of 1°-3°, especially for lifted applications. Ultimately, they decided to embrace the higher figures, as the actual results spoke for themselves – you simply can't argue with success!
