This BDS Suspension BDS1551FPE is the ultimate premium 5 inch suspension lift kit for the Ford F250 / F350 Super Duty trucks. Featuring Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Remote Resi Coil-Overs. These coil-overs replace the factory coil springs and are optimized for performance and ride comfort. Heavy duty radius arms that use 1-3/4" OD -10GA DOM tubing with support gussets, these replacement arms are far superior to the factory stamped steel units. Featuring a high clearance design for extra ground clearance and are formed inward to allow for additional clearance of oversized tires. The arms correct the caster angle by bolting into the factory mounting points and reposition the front axle. A forged drop pitman arm corrects steering angles along with a supplied integrated drag link flip. The front axle remains centered with the use a of 1/4" thick heavy duty track bar drop bracket. Also included for the front suspension are a pair of sway bar relocation brackets, bump stop extensions, brake line relocation brackets and a NX2 series steering stabilizer with mounting bracket. In the rear the factory blocks are replaced by a pair of 4.5 inch lift blocks that feature integrated bump stop wings along with e-coated extended u-bolts or upgrade to BDS Glideride rear leaf springs for better traction and load support Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Coil-overs w/DSC Remote Reservoirs - These top of the line adjustable coil-overs feature a 2.5 inch diameter CNC machined 6061-T6 hard anodized aluminum body that will resist rust and allow for excellent heat dispersion. The remote reservoir increases oil capacity and house the DSC (dual speed compression) adjuster knob. This allows you to to easily adapt your coil-overs ride softness or firmness to the current terrain and vehicle load by changing high-speed and low-speed compression settings with the turn of a dial. | Important Notes1. Fits Diesel models only. 2. Ford recommends replacement of the pitman arm nut after each time it has been removed. 3. If installed on a truck with a top mounted overload spring, with an overload spacer block taller than 1-1/8" UBT4027 (Qty: 4) are required. 4. Use a small pitman arm puller to remove the drag link joint and steering stabilizer taper. 5. If your truck is equipped with a 2-piece rear driveshaft, a Carrier Bearing Drop Kit may be required: BDS123402. 6. Due to taller factory ride height, Tremor models will not net full advertised lift height. Final ride height will be the same as standard models. 7. Larger tires on stock wheel are not recommended due to brake line clearance required. Use recommended specs listed in wheel and tire fitment section. 8. Minor trimming may be necessary for clearance of 37x12.50 tires on certain wheel setups. 9. Installation requires a torque wrench capable of 405 ft-lbs. 10. Some trucks with a rear driveline vibration may have a recall from Ford regarding the rear axle. (Safety Recall 21S31) Due to the recall procedure, BDS recommends to have this performed prior to installing the lift. |
